Volunteering and community involvement are values that enrich our society. More specifically, parents’ participation on the board of directors (BD) of their CPE/BC is a strength that contributes to educational quality within the CPE/BC network. This involvement allows board members to help develop the full potential of children, take part in setting the CPE/BC’s priorities and objectives, and ensure the provision of high-quality services to children and families.
Role and Responsibility
- The BD plays a central role in the educational mission of the CPE/BC.
- The BD has a duty to oversee the governance of the CPE/BC, working in partnership with the general management.
- All decisions of the BD must be made solely in the best interest of the CPE/BC.
