Our Educational Services

Help me and I will learn, challenge me and I will grow, believe in me and the world will be my playground.

The HighScope educational program is research-based. Its main principles include active learning, democratic adult-child interactions, and a learning environment where the child can make choices and handle materials.

The HighScope program values the child’s engagement in their play and community, in partnership with adults, within a stable and secure daily routine. You can visit the official page of the Ministry of Families presenting the educational program.

Multi-age

Enfant

Multi-age grouping has a long history and its advantage lies in being modeled on the family unit. It is defined as a combination of children of varying ages with different developmental levels, cultural backgrounds, personalities, and interests.

In this way, each child has their place, each child has something to offer to others, each child progresses at their own pace, and each child has the opportunity to be truly themselves.

The multi-age group provides an important educational environment that promotes:

  • The active participation of everyone at all times
  • A sense of security for the younger children
  • The implementation of measures that allow each child to find their place within the group
  • The development of skills corresponding to each child’s level of development

The development of skills corresponding to their level of development

The multi-age system offers many benefits for your child, such as minimizing group and educator changes during their time at the CPE. Your child will move from the infant group to the multi-age group (18 months – 47 months) and will change one last time to the single-age group (48 months – 59 months) to complete their learning before starting school. However, changes may be made in certain specific situations within the facilities.

The multi-age system allows your child to identify with a key caregiver and to develop a strong sense of belonging to a group and a classroom.

School Transition

A school transition is an important period of change for a child. Our mission is to implement strategies to support both the child and the family during this major transition, making it as smooth and harmonious as possible.

Information Sharing

Parents receive their child’s educational file twice a year (December and June) in electronic format. These observation reports are shared with the school to support a smooth transition, with the parents’ authorization.

Varied Learning Activities

Writing and math corner, shared reading, social scenario workshops, taking turns speaking, etc.

Independence

Implementation of task and responsibility charts to promote independence, conflict resolution steps, materials that encourage early reading and writing, routines with a clear beginning, middle, and end, and life rules that emphasize respect for oneself, others, and the environment, etc.

Support for Children in Need

Collaboration with external professionals for a child with special needs to help them achieve as much progress as possible before starting school and to be able to share effective strategies to support their learning.

Recognition Through Rituals

Graduation celebrations where parents are invited to attend a performance prepared by the children, filled with surprises and lots of fun :)

“ Parents are the seed of the child and the soil in which they grow. ”

- Martin Gray
