Nutrition

For us, teaching children the basic principles of a healthy and balanced diet is very important, as it has a significant impact on their overall development.

Our menus are therefore based on a variety of foods to encourage the discovery of tastes and flavors, on offering fresh vegetables and fruits (most often locally sourced), on whole grains, and on proteins (half plant-based and half animal-based).

Our meals are cooked on-site, with care and love, by our food supervisors, who work to limit processed products, sodium, and added sugars in the recipes. Each new child entering the CPE receives a water bottle, provided by the CPE, so they can drink water whenever they wish.

In each of our facilities, to foster a love of reading, we have provided families with a book exchange. The principle is simple: “Take a book or give a book,” nothing could be easier. After all, a good book is meant to be enjoyed more than once.

Learning Space

  • Educational books and reference materials for educators and parents.
  • Books on various topics (shapes, colors, sizes, etc.) to stimulate early childhood learning.
  • Pedagogical tools related to reading and vocabulary development.

Reading to a Child

  • Books for special moments between adults and children.
  • A varied selection of books suitable for young children (imaginative stories, adventures, illustrated albums).
  • Books that encourage early reading skills and shared enjoyment.

“ Reading is dreaming with your eyes open ”

- Kerry Reichs

Communication

Administrative communications are conducted using the Dokmail program.

Daily communications about the child’s day are shared through the communication notebook via Petits Pas.

Educational communications between parents and staff are possible at any time, as needed, upon request.

Annual Calendar of Closure Dates

- Françoise Dolto
